Master Torabpour was born in Iran.

He was a small, thin child who was drawn towards martial arts very early.

His father, in an attempt to "protect" his small son, discouraged him and told Master Torabpour he was too small, he would get hurt.

Fast forward a few years and Master Torabpour found himself in the United States attending college. He used this opportunity to begin studying martial arts, specifically Tae Kwon Do.

To know Master Torabpour, is to understand the term "drive". Master Torabpour didn't just want to study martial arts, he wanted to become the best he could.

To that end, Master Torabpour spent many hours at his dojang studying under Master Park.

Young Master Torabpour worked as a bus boy, a motel maid and various other odd jobs to pay for his studies and martial arts.

Master Torabpour attended his first US National Taekwondo Championship in 1983 and lost his first match. Not accepting defeat, Maser Torabpour walked away with a bronze medal in sparring the following year (1984).

1985 rolled around and Master Torabpour took home the US National Title, winning the Gold Medal in sparring!

Master Torabpour followed the Gold Medal w/two more National medals (Silver/Bronze) the subsequent years.

Master Torabpour opened his first school in the city of Owatonna, in 1985. Since then Master Torabpour has been a full time instructor, teaching multiple generations of students in the region, with schools now opened in Waseca, Faribault, Northfield and New Ulm.

Master Torabpour also hosts two open tournaments. These (Owatonna Martial Arts Open) are fun, family friendly tournaments, open to Martial Arts Schools and their students throughout the region.  The focus is always on good sportsmanship and fun.

In April on 2022, Master Torabpour became Grand Master Torabpour, 8th Dan after practicing Taekwondo for 43 years.

Master Torabpour is married to Lynai and together they have five sons and now grandchildren.  Master Torabpour is also an avid golfer and yes, he is driven in the sport of golf as well.

But mostly, Master Torabpour's love is getting to share his love of Jesus and spend time in His Word.
